Colored Pencils Freebies: Teal and Pink

Well my workshop on the Daily 5 was a HUGE disappointment. Here is a picture from the 'Make It Take It' portion of the day. It was a blast to the past...thought I time warped back to the 80's. good thing I went with my BFF K Teacher Friend!!! I might have had to leave if she wasn't there with me.

This was NOT presented by the two sisters. It was at a local University. I was kind of bummed I walked away with nothing new because I was really hoping to get some new ideas to try.

I also finished the two colored pencils for today...see, productive use of my time!! I made pink and teal.

I am really hoping for a sunny weekend so we can go to the Water Park. We only have a few weekends left! What last minute activities do you want to squeeze in before the summer is over?

Have a wonderful weekend!!

(I will add gray, brown, black and white colored pencils over the weekend. )

  1. Oh My Gosh-- who did this? It could not have been Joan and Gail (the sisters) I have been to five of their workshops and they have always been stellar! I am so sorry that you had a bad experience with a flashback to the 80's!

    1. OMG, it was NOT Joan and Gail!! I wish!!! I thought it would be better... the flyer about the class was misleading. I will never go to on again unless it is the 'real deal'!!!

  2. Oh man I'm sorry you have a terrible time at your workshop. There is nothing worse then sitting there on your summer day wasting your time wishing you were elsewhere.

  3. Who did that!? I have been to a d5 workshop with Joan and Gail. They were great! I never saw anything like that there or on their website or videos. So sorry! Daily 5 and CAFE changed the way I structure my ELA block - I hope this does not discourage you.

    1. Oh no, not at all! I love their book and I hope to someday take their online course. I was hoping for good tips and strategies. I will never take another class unless I know it is the real deal!!

  4. I probably would have lost it at the coloring with crayon part! Glad you were so 'studious' during the session, though!
