Great News!! A New Set!! And...a bit of Randomness!

Guess What?? We had the follow up visit to the specialist......

And we got great news!!! Prince Charming's tests came back negative for cancer...his scar is healing great and we have no more doctor visits scheduled!!! Woohoo!!! What a relief!!! Thank you so much for you kind words, prayers and support!!! I LOVE my bloggyland friends!!
Well I came up with another new idea.... I really think my clip art name should be the ADD Artist, I am constantly drawing new things that dont really fit together into any type of theme, but I like trying to draw different types of characters. I made a set of these crayons for another classroom label set.
Then I had an idea....so I am going with a new theme next year ....colorful crayons with bright polka dots and chevron labels in colorful primary colors. And then I thought I could make these little cuties holding the crayons.....what do you think? I am loving the rainbow theme idea and it goes perfectly with stuff I already have. My classroom tables are labeled by color and I have colored caddys holding all the supplies in each table.
How about you? Do you do a classroom theme or try to match everything using a color theme? I think the new set will look so cute!!
What are your summer plans....reading?....vacations?.....classes?
I plan to read the stack of books growing under the end table. I've been adding to the stack throughout the year. A lot of mysteries in the pile....that's probably my favorite read. We are taking a mini vacation in July...hopefully to the ocean...maybe Virginia Beach. I am going to take a few online classes and I am also hoping to join in on one of the online book studies going on this summer. Sounds like a fun idea....and you can do it in your jammies drinking coffee....what could be better??

Seriously, thanks again for your prayers and support!!! Have a great week!!

Back to Class and September Calendar Freebie

I went to school today to get my room back in order from the floor being waxed. I met two of my teacher friends and we all took turns helping each other. It was fun having the whole building to ourselves. We took a peek in different classrooms to see how everyone was doing with their classrooms.
My room was a mess from the floors being waxed. Not much was back into place where I had it. I really wanted to take a picture so you could see the transformation, because it looked 'two thumb's down'... but my phone died...boooo. I guess it was ok that I needed to reorganize again because I ended up throwing away a bunch more.
Are you the teacher that keeps everything or throws everything away? I used to keep EVERYTHING. If I made too many copies, I kept the extras. If a game had missing pieces, still kept it. When I changed buildings last year and saw how much I had accumulated over the years I began throwing things away. My classroom is very organized but my cupboards were packed full. It was like you took one thing out and six things fell out with it. They look so much better now after a year of throwing away or giving away things I will never use. My next step is to put post it labels on every drawer and cupboard and label the main contents so my new aides will know where to find things and where to put them away.
The sad news of the day was for my friend. She changed classrooms to a larger room and they punctured her Smartboard during the move. They hire extra employees during the summer, usually college kids and they tend to not be too careful with the belongings...don't they know those are our treasures?  :)
I made a new calendar set for September to share. It's very simple, just numbers to 31 with an apple theme. You can grab a copy via my google docs. I dont tend to use google docs too often so please let me know if it isn't working.
Here is the link to google docs:  September Calendar Numbers
A while back I made a larger word wall to go with my free classroom set on TpT titled 'All About Yellow". I wanted to share it again since I know everyone is getting ready for back to school.
Here is the link for the Word Wall. Yellow Word Wall
I have my last week of ESY and then a little break before the start of the regular school year. I will end with a little 'Mom of Teenagers' humor...saw this one earlier today...

Have a wonderful week!!
Smiles!

Blog Fairy...I am so very blessed to have an AMAZING teacher bloggy friend who has paid it forward to me. Yesterday I received an email from Teachers Pay Teachers that a paid sellers membership had been gifted to me anonymously. However I was pretty sure who did it and I am so very very thankful...you just don't even know how blessed I feel by her kindness. Side note: when you google images for fairy godmother some of them are scary, that was one of the better ones. This was another of the choices...
OMG, can you say CREEPY!! LOL

Pay it Forward...I feel the need to pay it forward as well...So, for the first five teachers to leave a comment below you can choose one item from my store and I will email it to you. I guess I am actually giving away six things today because the other giveaway will end tonight as well (for the Bee Happy set).

Our Craft Project... We bought these at the Flea Market for a dollar.

ESY & Free Yellow Polka Dot Word Wall

I went to orientation for ESY which I will begin teaching in a few weeks. Should be interesting. I know 3 of the 4 aides working in the room with me but I have never worked 'directly' with them...does that make sense??? And yes, that does say 4 aides. I have 4 aides, me, and 9 students. I know aide #1 will be very easy to work with, #2 seems so-so....might be ok and #3...ding, ding.... getting my boxing gloves positive attitude ready. Oh and #4 is the mystery aide. She does not work for our district during the school year and she did not attend orientation.

I finished a new word wall as a request and I am offering it as a freebie in my store. You can grab a copy here Yellow Dot Word Wall.
I am also having a giveaway on my new blog, as I just finished a new set. It is over 100 pages with a 'BEE' theme. Classroom Design Collections

New Classroom Design Giveaway - Monster Set

I finished the aqua and green classroom set and decided to make it a monster theme. I am giving away one set here on my blog on Sunday. I used the rafflecopter the last few times but then I got to thinking about making you follow me all around cyber-land to have an entry. That is not really my style....so while I am very appreciative if you follow my blog and stores your entry will just be made by leaving a comment below...sound good?

I had a special request for a 'bee' theme classroom set so that will be next. Then I will do a safari/jungle theme. I am also drafting out a year of homework packets for Kindergarten. Busy, busy, I'm just full of ideas, lol.

We have a brand new math curriculum for next year so I need to make sure the activities align with the lessons being taught. I went to an in-service today and I go back tomorrow. It is all about the new math curriculum.

I also spent 3 days cleaning out my classroom cupboards getting everything organized. My classroom is super organized and tidy but I had secret hidden stashes of clutter...shhh don't tell. Now every cupboard is organized too and my file cabinets are all cleaned out. My recycle bin was brimming! I think I had saved every extra copy of papers since dinosaurs walked the Earth, very outdated and things I will never ever use again! They are gone now! I also changed all my bulletin boards for next year.

What changes will you make to your classroom for next year?

Make sure you leave your email address if you are entering to win the Monster Set. I will email it as a PDF file attachment. Have a great week!
