It's my birthday and the beginning of school is rapidly approaching so I am having a quickie sale in my TN store. I have several classroom themed classroom sets available to help decorate your classroom for the beginning of the school year. My Kindergarten Homework Packet for September will be available on August 1st.
Teacher's Notebook

I hope to get back into my classroom later next week to take pictures: before and after. I had my room all set up for the most part, but then they had to remove everything to wax the floors.
I am very excited for the beginning of school. I still have two more weeks of ESY but things have been going more smoothly after we got that first week out of the way.
I have been working on my own version of a Pinterest inspired project for the first day of school. I hope to get it finished this weekend.
Have a wonderful weekend!!

Shhhhh....Don't Tell and New Set Giveaway!!

Shhhhh...tiptoeing to the computer and quietly logging on to my blog. Do I dare double post in one day? But, I have a Giveaway and if I don't start it today I may not be able to add it for a day or two because my week is so busy. The giveaway is for my new Classroom Design Set: All About Red. It turned out very cute and has a few ladybugs decorating several of the labels. I also made a black polka dot alphabet for decorating the pennant pieces. Here it is:
I'm trying rafflecopter again as I can't seem to find an easier one that is free.

May Calendar Numbers Freebie finished

This will be a super short post as I feel very behind with everything...and I have a big meeting to get organized for. I finished my May Calendar Numbers with a zoo/safari theme. Of course May starts in 2 days so you are likely already set. Hope you can use these or save them for another month. let me know if you need a different month label, I can make it for you. Just like the April set I made three complete number sets so you can practice a variety of patterns.
I am going to start offering all new items at a discount for the first 48 hours so please consider following my store. Thanks so much!! Have a fab week!!Safari/Zoo May Calendar Freebie

I'm back and a freebie!!

LOL, that picture makes me laugh. Well it has been a long two weeks for me. Two of my daughter have pneumonia now, and one spent 6 days in the hospital. Another had a trip to the ER with a burn on her arm from the lawn mower and Mr. Hubby still has an infection in his elbow and may need surgery. That is just enough on my plate.
I am thinking ahead to next year and trying to decide the theme for my classroom. Although, at this point I am not sure what grade I will be teaching. There will be a lot of changes at our school due to retirements and smaller class sizes moving up through the grades, also fewer children identified with special education needs. I am not good with uncertainty, for some reason it is very stressful for me.
I am going to try to create a completely color coordinated room. Once I have everything done I will share. But for now I am sharing my "words of praise". You can get them for free here Teacher's Notebook

I hope everyone had a better week than me, lol.

Happy Saturday.....Sale on Teacher's Notebook

Happy Saturday!! I finished all of my report cards this week....signed, sealed, delivered. :) I should be driving Mr. Hubby to the emergency room but "Miss Darling", my daughter has a softball game. So instead he is resting with a bag of frozen peas on his elbow until I get back in a few hours. He did something to it yesterday because when he woke up today it was the size of a baseball, YIKES.

Well 8 hours later...axe that idea, he was in too much pain to wait. We spent the entire day in the ER running tests and doing a minor surgical procedure on his elbow. He has to go see a specialist/surgeon this week. Guess he cant drive either....because driving the kids to all of their activities just didn't fill quite enough of my time....OMG...LOL. I have several activities started but nothing new to share today, maybe tomorrow. I think I have too many projects started at the same time. Anyone else like that? I need to focus on getting one thing made at a time!

Teacher's Notebook has revamped their site and added some new features to make navigating easier. I decided to try some out so I am having a little sale on all of my items for the weekend. Here is a link to my store.

I better scoot, I think I could sleep now until tomorrow. Have a great weekend!!

Puzzle Freebies Finished!!

Thought For The Day...."Every student can learn. Just not on the same day or in the same way."
I made two activities for my students to work on as we need to continue practicing the sight words and sounding out words. Both are "puzzle" activities. When the pieces are cut and glued correctly the CVC word page will be a space shuttle and the sight word matching page will be a turtle.

I found some goodies in the discount aisle when I ran for shampoo so I am about to make a new game for the kiddo's for tomorrow. I already had my Spring Break but my kids are on break the week after Easter. That always happens to us. I don't think I have ever been on break with them.
The two puzzles are available for free in my Teacher's Notebook Store. I have a few other freebies there as well as my common core math and two homework packets.

Have a great week!

Kindergarten Homework Packet #2 Finally Finished

Thought of the Day...Believe In Yourself!
Good Morning Blogging Peeps! How are you this fine, fine day? I am enjoying my last day of Spring Break. Isn't that picture so cute? It's a bit cloudy here, but still warmer than the norm so I will happily take it! This is the mildest winter that I can remember, which is A-OK with me.
I should be cleaning again in the aftermath of my oldest daughter and her son moving out into their own apartment. Somehow the house is a mess again, EEK. Her apartment is very nice and in a good neighborhood. She is very close to the playground for Bryson. It is a bit sad for me though because I really did love having Bryson live with us. He is the sweetest baby ever....but it is a good thing for them to be on their own. And good for my other daughter because now she gets her room back. This is my all time favorite picture of Bryson. It's with our boxer Roxie. Isn't it the sweetest thing?

I finally finished my newest Kindergarten Common Core Homework Packet. I made a few small changes from the design of the 1st packet, and added a blank checklist to keep track of who returns it to school. I also included a B & W copy of every page for those unable to use color ink. I am very pleased with how it turned out. Here is a preview of the packet....
Head on over to Teacher's Notebook to grab a copy.

Sweet Sandi over at Rubber Boots and Elf Shoes gave me an award but I need to find some fellow bloggers to link up with so I will gather those and write about it later. Am I the only person that has a hard time creating links? I don't know why they are so hard for me but usually they don't work, ugh. Well, time to fill the coffee cup and go do some more exploring in blog world. I must say, I read about the best ideas! Sometimes I get so lost in reading I forget to follow people and then I can't find them again, I HAVE to do better with that.
Oh my, good grief Charlie Brown...I didn't realize I had written so much. Anyone actually read to the end of this, I should make an award for that....HA HA HA! Have a FABULOUS day!!

Good Grief Charlie Brown

Oh my, I seriously was about to throw my computer out the window.... oops...brakes....rewind. I love sharing freebies as much as I can but we are having a serious financial crunch at our house. A family of 7 cannot live on my pay, and Mr. Hubby is trying desperately to find a job. I put a few things on TpT and I am so very thankful for the teachers who have purchased items from me.
So.....Mr. Hubby said to try Teacher's Notebook, since the price was a lot less to join. Well I was in serious need of a How-To Manual or Teacher's Notebook for Dummies or a Tutor or something. I couldn't get anything to load. I was trying to do my "shop" through Internet Explorer. I finally closed all my tabs, took a little break, and tried again through Google Chrome and yip-yip-yahoo I got it to work and even loaded a couple items. I have no idea what i was doing wrong but I am glad it finally worked. I added a new little linkie right over there on the right>>>>>>>>>see it there? If anyone has a minute would you take a quick peek and let me know how it looks? I think I need another pair of eyes on it, especially for typo's or grammer errors.
Only 2 more days of Spring Break.....boo hoo. On the bright side, I have my lesson plans written for the next two weeks. I hope my friend Mrs. Custodian remembered to feed my frogs at school. I better make her a "frog-sitting" gift.
Anyone doing anything fun this weekend?
